I like how they are stackable and have brackets to secure them together. Works great for all his action figures and cars. These are cute simple toy boxes. Fairly easy to put together and decently sturdy. I've seen my 7 yo niece and 5 yo daughter sit on one at the same time though I told them quickly it was a seat. The directions while fairly simple are just mostly pictures and a little lacking. Part B which is the middle of the cubby is put on as the second part. With the way it goes together its hard to tell which way it goes because of the pics and is very easy to put on upside down. If you do put it on upside down though it will leave large gaps. But if you remove the front runner board and the top its super easy to flip it over without having to take the whole thing back apart. I own four of these, two for the play room and two for two of kids rooms.I like how they fulfilled the job to store my child’s toys just disappointed that there were pieces that were chipped and tried to be covered up with some manufacturing sticker. It was in the bottom so it doesn’t show hence didn’t bother to return themWe bought these in the espresso color. These are the best toy storage units. I love that they stack, there are no containers to dump, and the sections hold bulky toys perfectly. One thing to note is that the edges around the openings will get some dings and scratches to the paint. We have had our first set for almost 3 years and bought a second set just under 2 years ago and through all that time and with 2 boys, I would have to say the "damage" is minimal and it's really just around the openings from putting toys in. All other surfaces are fine. I still love them because their shape and function is perfect for what I wanted and the dark color helps them not stick out too much. I didn't expect them to not get dinged and scratched though. I think eventually I might touch them up with a little paint or a furniture marker, just to make it less noticable.Only problem is that we discovered the finish melts off onto certain toys. I can't figure out why or which surfaces it happens to most. The first time I noticed it was when we were playing with some soft flexible plastic toy dinosaurs (similar to the material of bath squirters) and there was sticky brown paint on all of them. I'm not sure if it's a reaction between certain materials or if length of contact has anything to do with it (we had not played with them in a long time and they were at the bottom of the bin). I think it happened 1 or 2 other times but I forget what kind of toys they were. It's something we keep an eye out for but haven't seen it in a long time.Facil de armar muy espaciosa perfecto para los niñosBins are acceptably sturdy and not difficult to assemble. If they weren't such a hassle, I'd still send them back, the red and blue are decidedly maroon and navy, not at all the bright primary colors pictured. Rather ugly drab colors. So we got both a 2 bin and 3 bin storage unit from badger basket and let me tell you at first I was really really upset. We had problems with stripped screws and a bit of cracking and I was about to package them up and send em back to amazon but I'm really glad I took another route. On the box you'll find badger baskets contact info and it asks that you call them if you have any problems. I gave them a call and a lovely guy named Kevin got on the phone and listened to the issues I was having and told me a way that I might be able to fix them but is still sending me two replacement items because he's not sure if it'll fix it properly or not. They were extremely nice and helpful and I'm REALLY hoping the next two coming in don't have the same issues but even so the customer service was great! (oh and as for the smell, it's just the smell of the paint, it will go away if you leave it in the warm for a few days) So I give it 4 stars because although the units have a couple of issues the customer service is awesome! These came flat packed as expected and were relatively easy to assemble. They are quite sturdy for the price and go together rather well, without many seams. The one major flaw that I have found, is that in the construction, unlike some of the more expensive units, the screw heads are not designed to be hidden inside or in the back but instead are on the front faces. To hide this, they simply supply stickers of the same color as the body of the shelves which are to cover the holes and screws. While you can't see this at a distance, it is very obvious in closer proximity and for those who are putting this in a space where guests would regularly see it, you may want to consider this flaw.Otherwise, they are surprisingly spacious, and work great for my 15mo old's toys in the living room.We bought this with the matching three-bay unit which stacked well on top of this and connected firmly with the included joining brackets.Exactly what I needed. Fits a lot of toys..was pleasantly surprised. Not the greatest material but for the price and the use..i guess its alright.
